Hi GO Girls!
So with starting the new job and all I kinda blew it this week, but made a point to write down every last thing that I ate. Made it to the grocery store this weekend to stock up on lots of fruit & veggies and made my favorite WW recipe. Wanted to share: http://www.weightwatchers.com/food/rcp/index.aspx?recipeid=51438

Also, I got some of those Mio water drops...I got the sweet tea & it really tastes like sweet tea but no calories and no funky aftertaste. I waste a lot of calories on sweet drinks.

love and miss you all!

I am happy to report that when I stepped on the scale this morning my weight was lower than it's been in a long time!!! Just trying to pay more attention to what I eat, trying to get more protein in and continuing with my exercise classes. I haven't really lost enough weight that people would notice, but I can tell a difference and I guess that's what really matters.

With that being said, I'm looking forward to some good food and drink this weekend!!!

Woo-hoo!

Push to GO!

Had a bump in the road... gotta get back on track too. Jack's birthday was this weekend. Party, party party. Food, family fun.
Now back to basics!
Tracking cals, exercise, making good choices.

Let's all try really hard until GO. That's my challenge to you!

Can't wait to catch up... LA

PS - excited about tennis courts at GO!!

Round robin anyone?

Only a couple more weeks

Til GO - yay!

Work has been nuts - so I am looking forward to a weekend away and also catching up on all of this in person.
Low carb/ no sweets has been working fine am struggling with going out more though now that it is nice outside. Lots of opportunity to go out for a drink or two. Have to reel that back in. It does help a lot to track food intake. I do good on days when I track. I reached a 5 lb loss but think I may be up a little after a week of too many social engagements. Need the "big picture" in sight at all times.

And yes, LA, feeling smaller - that's such a good point. Need to hold on to that!

I am going to check into your suggestion on interval training too as I am getting bored with the same ol same ol at the gym. And I think my body is bored too :-)

Concentrating on reining in the calories at social occasions - talk more, plan ahead - anything!
And look forward to seeing you guys soon!

Oh and totally going to try the spinach casserole. Yum! I am officially a fan of vegetables.
Hope you guys have a good week! Oh and and... Sugar free fudgecicles are the bomb!

SISTER SUNSHINE

I was just reading some past posts and a big Sister Sunshine goes out to Nicole!
Awesome for you that you are wanting to exercise! You GO Girl! That's great! You really do get a 'high'-right?
Is there any one thing that is making you "like" it. Feelings afterward, music, etc?

Just wanted to send one your way!

Happy Friday everybody!!

P.S. feeling smaller these days! :)

Must Haves!

So, I've been a little stuck and felt like I needed a new plan...
so I wanted to give an update and I've included some things you gotta get!

I have started no sugar/no bread/low carb.
Every day since I started this I have not had cravings and I don't feel hungry! (Just like Liz said) I bought the new South Beach-Energized book and I have been getting ideas from it-recipes, foods to eat etc. They teach phases. I am in phase 1 which is a 2 week "rev up my metabolism" kick start. So far so good. My calorie intake has been very low.
They also talk about Interval training.
I have been interval training at the gym and I can't believe how much more I sweat. I guess that's a good thing. It goes by faster too!

You all know my issue with eating at night--Well, proud to say I have not eaten at night for the past three nights!! This is BIG. REALLY BIG.
The Swiss Miss 25 cal. hot chocolate packets have saved me!!!! I found them at Wal-Mart. Don't get the 60 cal ones.
Also another great thing I've been eating is Pistacios. They are a low- cal nut.
ALso, Sugar Free Fudgcicles-40 cal. AWESOME!

I also have become addicted to the app LoseIt. For the past three days I've been really diligent on recording my foods & exercises. I can see now how it's such a great tool!
Also started a 30 day Detox I bought at the Vitamin Shoppe. GO AWAY TOXINS!

Great breakfast recipe from the book I made this morning:
Egg Spinach Casserole
Put frozen spinach (thawed) in the bottom of an 8x8 dish . (Spray with Pam)
In another bowl mix eggs, salt/pepper, diced onions, 1 cup lowfat cheese.
Pour on top of spinach.
Slice tomato thin and place slices on top Cook at 350 for 20 min or when brown.

Can't wait to see you all at GO!
